The four agreements is a philosophy supposedly derived from Toltec teachings. It has similarities to stoicism, in that it presents a world that disconnects what is your responsibility from what is other's.

  1. Be impeccable with your word: don't say things you can regret
  2. Take nothing personally: what others think is just their opinion. Agreements 1 and 4 are a framework to remove cause from taking things personally. 3 is a way to directly reduce it.
  3. Don't make assumptions: you don't know what others think, or know what they'll do.
  4. Always do your best: you can't regret anything if you did your best.

Stoicism is preaching similar teachings of living in the present, so no point about regretting the past and not guessing the future.
