idea
Science is not incompatible with the idea of religion. First off, science is focused on the physical world, while religion is focused on the spiritual[1]. Then scientific method cannot bar totally the existence of a god[3], because there is no proof there is one, but there is no proof there isn't, and it's unlikely we'll ever settle the question[2].
Opposed to that are new atheist who believe that atheism needs to be active, and fighting religious beliefs.
