Meditation is the practice of emptying your mind from thoughts. It's a useful training to become aware of emotions and feelings, and create a buffer to respond to them instead of reacting. This helps being more in the moment and in control.

There are multiple techniques, the most basic is focusing on breathing, another is to feel all limbs, another is to walk and pay particular attention to movement and surrounding things. The main objective remains to tame the train of thoughts and remain in the moment
