Brag documents summarize your accomplishment of the year. They are meant to be distributed to your manager during perf-review season, and to be used as a self-reflection tool.
One way to assemble it is once in a while through archeology. Else, work on a brag document every 2 weeks (or, e.g., during weekly review). Make sure to include everything you accomplished, including fuzzy work like improving code quality.
