idea

Take observations twice a day in a weather diary to observe changes[8].

Surface wind is observed on the following aspects:

Winds aloft (high winds) can have a different direction[5]. They can be observed looking at clouds. Sometimes the shape of the clouds can also indicate the direction of the wind.

Temperature

Temperature perception is impacted by moisture and wind[5]. It's best to use controlled environment shielded from the wind to guess the air temperature. Temperature can be guessed by uncovering hands and forearm, and perceiving temperature over a few minutes. An exercise to develop that perception is to make a prediction of the temperature and compare to a thermometer.

Humidity

A technique similar as using a hygrometer can be used to guess humidity. Moist one arm (e.g. lick it!), and not the other, then windmill them around. Note the difference in sensation of cooling between both arms. Do that away from wind.

Clouds

Look not only for clouds but also to the coverage[8]. When coverage is low, other observations are required.

Pressure

When pressure moves to low, this means a storm is coming. Some people can feel pressure: headache or arthritis acting up when a storm is coming

[6]: Sling psychrometer is an instrument that has two thermometer, one with moist fabric and one without. It is slinged vigorously around a lever, the moisture evaporates from the fabric and cools the second thermometer. The lower the humidity, the more cooling, and the larger the difference in temperature. Using a table can then tell humidity.

Cloud in a bottle

Clouds are hyper-saturated air, with droplets suspended on small particles.
