Scientific method is an empirical method to acquire knowledge, by:

1. Formulating an hypothesis and derive predictions
2. Carry out experiments
3. Collect and analyze the results
4. Conclude and iterate

The scientific method allows to derive proven conclusions from experiments.

A theory is an hypothesis validated through scientific experiment^[2].
