The murder hornet is a hornet native of East Asia, measuring two inches, and which kills bees to feed its youngsters. They can kill entire swarms of bees. There stinger is long enough to pierce beekeeper suits, and venom very potent - victims describe it as "liquid metal under their skins"

It started being found in North America in Washington state and BC in 2019/2020[1].
