idea
Hustle culture is the general idea that work should be hard and that one ought to spend long suffering hours to be successful. It rewards the biasing of work life balance towards work, and views making sacrifices on life as professional. It strongly values work in itself as the primary source of prestige, honor and pride.
Output and impact are not considered as important.
It opposes loser concepts such as the idea of 4h work week, and more generally work-life balance, putting emphasis on the work part.

Others optimize newfound work-from-anywhere flexibility by varying their hours. Some just require the extra breathing room at night, away from pings and business calls, to really focus ~ Mary Czerwinski, research manager of human understanding and empathy at Microsoft Research
-> Interesting comment. "Pings and business calls" prevent you from working so the solution is to vary your hours.
